When you write a kick-ass blog post or article, what do you do with it?
Do you post it once, and wait for the millions of reads, the accolades of how amazing your writing is, how knowledgeable you are?
Have you thought about repurposing your content?
I don’t just mean reposting the same link a few times. I mean using that amazing content in more ways than one.
So, you write a blog post.
That blog post has lots of juicy stuff in it, right? Heaps of useful tips that people can use. But if they never see your blog, how will they know?
1. Create a newsletter, with some of the best stuff in, and link to the actual post.
2. Create an article in Linked In for all the right people to see. Be sure to use the right hashtags to be seen!
3. Take the best bits, and turn them into lots of smaller Facebook posts. You can get a load of content this way.
4. Take those best bits or some worthy quotes, open up Canva, and make gorgeous images to go on Instagram.
5. Create posts on Pinterest that link back to your blog. Pinterest is so underrated, it really isn’t just for creating countless folders of projects you’re never going to actually do, it is amazing for your SEO as well.
6. Tweet about it! Take those smaller quotes, and create some Twitter posts. Always linking back to your website, of course. People actually still use Twitter!l.
7. Create some FAQs to add to the website, or wherever you want to be seen, using the info you’ve written about.
8. Create a video recording of your blog and upload it to YouTube, Reddit, wherever you want to be seen. You can change it up a bit, doesn’t have to be word for word.
9. Request to be a guest blogger/writer/speaker with a business that aligns with yours. This exposes your business to a whole new audience and helps build that trust around you being the expert on that topic. And helps build traffic back to your own website!
10. Knock out a Podcast or audio file. Terrifying, yes. This is a pretty big one for most of us, so I left it to last. It’s still an option, though!
I hope you’ve found some new ideas here.
If it all feels a bit too hard, you’re welcome to get in touch and we can discuss working together. This kind of work is my jam, so I’m always happy to help
