Sunrise at Bledisloe Holiday Park, Little Waihi
Everything feels a bit weird right now, right? What I’m seeing in so many online groups, and in real life as well, is that everyone feels a bit lost at the moment. With so much uncertainty around what is to come, it’s leaving many of us not knowing where to start. But then we don’t get anything done and we feel bad about it.
For me, I can honestly say that I’ve struggled to get my momentum back since being on holiday. I sit down at my computer and flit from one job to another, not really achieving anything at all. Our time away was so great, not long enough, but so nice to be away from real life and just swim, relax and have family time.
But then coming back to the real world, I was a bit all over the place. None of my clients were really back yet, which should have made it a great time to focus on getting myself ready for 2022, getting posts and newsletters out. But I just mooched around doing nothing much of anything.
I thought it was just me! But turns out, nearly everyone I’ve spoken to since has said the same. So if you’re feeling the same, know that you’re not alone.
Last night, I had a good chat with my friend and Business Coach, AJ Pipe. We had a big download of what’s going on, a refocus on what I want to achieve this year, and today, a good old brain dump. I do love a good brain dump! And now I’m good! I know what I need to get done – finish off a couple of client tasks, touch base with some that haven’t started back yet, and get my own posts and blogs etc underway.
So all is right with the world now, and I have my focus back, as well as a plan for the next 12 months. But if you’re feeling a bit lost and not sure how to get back into your groove, ask yourself the following 3 things:
• Do you have a good friend or biz bestie you can have a chat with? Chances are, they feel the same way!
• Have you done a brain dump yet, to hash out what you need to do, and in what order? Get it all out of your head and onto paper. It does wonders for your headspace. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, message me, and I’ll show ya. Life changing!
• Flick me a message, and we can chat. Sometimes just having a person who’s not invested in your business (emotionally or financially) will make what you need to get done a lot clearer.
As always, if you’re ready to look at outsourcing some of your tasks, particularly things related to content – newsletters, social media etc – you can find more about how we can work together right here.
